battled through heavy rains to earn a 1-1 men's soccer draw on
Sunday at Franklin College.
Senior Joe Byrd (Danville/Covenant Christian) scored off a deflected shot from junior John Munson (Bloomington, Ill./University) in the 41st minute to give Rose-Hulman a 1-0 lead. Junior Ben Green (Frisco, Texas/Centennial) was also credited with an assist for a strong corner kick.

The overtime featured a 3-0 shots advantage for Olivet in the first 10 minutes, and a 4-0 edge for Rose-Hulman in the second 10 minutes.
Olivet outshot Rose-Hulman 18-11 in the match. Junior Drew Belk (Jasper) and junior William Senat (Edmond, Okla./North) each led the Engineers with three shots.
Sophomore Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick) provided a strong effort in goal with 10 saves and several other solid plays in the rain on crossing passes.
Rose-Hulman stands 0-1-1 on the season and returns to action at Greenville College on Wednesday night. Olivet has a 1-0-1 mark on the season.
