miller-dpuTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology battled No. 18 ranked DePauw University to a scoreless draw in men's soccer action on Sunday at Jim Rendel Field.

DePauw controlled much of the first half action, before Rose-Hulman came on with a strong second half performance.  The Tigers outshot Rose-Hulman 8-1 in the opening 45 minutes, but the Engineers owned a 6-3 mark in the remainder of the match.

DePauw also had six first half corner kicks, but Rose-Hulman responded with seven corner kicks in the second half and two overtime periods.

Sophomore Drew Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Rose-Hulman defensive effort with five saves.  Tony Halterman of DePauw also recorded a shutout with two saves.

Rose-Hulman had two excellent chances to score at the end of each overtime period.  Freshman Marco Cattani (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) had a strong chance in front at the end of the first overtime, and junior Will Senat (Edmond, Okla./North) had a shot stopped with a diving save in the final minute of the second extra session.
