Rose-Hulman Rifle Wins Fall Break Opener at MIT

R LogoBOSTON, MASS. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology earned a 4,417-4,377 rifle victory over Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Friday in the first of two matches scheduled for this weekend in Boston.

The Fightin' Engineers return to action with a second match at MIT on Saturday.

Senior Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn./Smyrna) and senior Adam Foss (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) tied for team-high honors with scores of 1,117.  Duvall led the team with 553 in smallbore, and Foss had a team-best 568 in air rifle.

Senior Suzanne Eisenberger (Clarence Center, N.Y./Northeastern University) and junior Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) provided depth with scores of 1,102 and 1,081 to help Rose-Hulman secure the victory.

After this weekend's action, Rose-Hulman returns to the Engineer Rifle Range to face Tennessee-Martin on Nov. 2.
