Rose-Hulman Rifle Scores 4,385 vs. Akron

R LogoTERRE HAUTE, IND. – Nationally ranked Akron University relied on six scores over 1,100 to earn a rifle victory at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday.

Victoria Brown (1,159) and Tim Hopkins (1,157) led a balanced attack for the Zips at the Cook Stadium Rifle Range.

Senior Adam Foss (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) led the Rose-Hulman performance with a score of 1,109 points, including a team-high 557 in smallbore.  Senior Suzanne Eisenberger (Clarence Center, N.Y./Northeastern University) added a score of 1,098 points.

Junior Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) paced the squad with a 566 score in air rifle as part of a 1,097 total.  Senior Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn./Smyrna) pitched in with a score of 1,081 points.

Rose-Hulman returns to action on Jan. 11 at Ohio State University.
