TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology rifle team easily handled Purdue University at the Cook
Stadium Range on Sunday.
Rose-Hulman fired a score of 3,684 points in a match featuring a full smallbore and 2/3 of a standard air rifle competition. Purdue tallied 3,056 points.
Sophomore Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) led the Engineers with a 929, including 552 in smallbore. Sophomore Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/Concordia Lutheran) was just behind with a 928.
Freshman Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) contributed a score of 914, with senior Malhon Godwin (Blue Grass, Iowa/Davenport West) adding a 913 in the balanced attack. Junior Will Adler (Stroudsburg, Pa.) pitched in with an 875.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Camp Perry Open on Jan. 14-15.
