COLUMBUS, OHIO --
Rose-Hulman recorded its second best score of the 2012 rifle season
at the NCAA Sectional Qualifier at Ohio State University on
Saturday.
Rose-Hulman compiled a team score of 4,481 points for the team's second best mark of the season. The effort included the team's second best smallbore score of the season at 2,219.
Sophomore Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) led Rose-Hulman with a school record 1,148 points, including a personal best of 578 in air rifle. Sophomore Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/Concordia Lutheran) and senior Malhon Godwin (Blue Grass, Iowa/Davenport West) tied for second place honors with a 1,120 points.
Freshman Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) added a score of 1,093 points. All five Rose-Hulman team members also outscored the top score from Purdue University.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference Meet on Feb. 25 at Michigan State University.
