COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished fourth of nine teams with a strong performance at the season ending Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference championships on Saturday at Ohio State.
Rose-Hulman compiled a team score of 3,715 points in a match that featured a full smallbore match and 2/3 of a standard air rifle competition.
Junior Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) led the squad with 946 points, including 569 in smallbore. Junior Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/Concordia Lutheran) finished second on the team with 936. Freshman Jen Nishida (Honolulu, Hawaii/Sacred Hearts Academy) added a score of 921 to place third among the Fightin' Engineers.
Following the match, Foss and Nishida (pictured) were honored for handicap score improvement over the season with conference wide awards.
