R LogoMURRAY, KY.  -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology rifle team enjoyed a successful weekend competing at Murray State and Tennessee-Martin.

The team compiled scores of 4,411 points at Murray State and 4,341 at Tennessee-Martin on Saturday. 

Junior Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn.) capped a busy weekend with a score of 1,125 at Tennessee-Martin after recording a 1,119 at Murray State.  Duvall had weekend-high totals of 569 in air rifle at Murray State and 561 in smallbore at Tennessee-Martin.  The weekend also included him being named "Mr. Rose" at the school pageant on Friday night.

Junior Adam Foss (Fort Wayne/Concordia Lutheran) contributed a score of 1,107 at Murray State, with sophomore Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) finishing third on the squad at 1,102. The duo finished in the same scoring order at Tennessee-Martin.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at Akron in a meet featuring the host Zips and Ohio State University on Saturday.
