Foss, Eisenberger Lead Rifle Squad at Morehead State

R LogoMOREHEAD, Ky. – Senior Adam Foss topped the scoring and teammate Suzanne Eisenberger set a big personal best to lead the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology rifle team Saturday in a dual match with Morehead State University.

Foss (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) scored a team-high 1,120 points in the competition, scoring a 564 in air rifle and a 556 in smallbore.

Eisenberger (Clarence Center, N.Y./Northeastern University) topped her previous-best mark in air rifle by 16 points, scoring a 576. Her total of 1,119 points placed her second for the Engineers. Eisenberger also set a season-best score in prone with a mark of 194.

Junior Allie Carlson (Goose Creek, S.C./Patch American) finished third for the Engineers, scoring 1,110 points and senior Evan Duvall (Smyrna, Tenn./Smyrna) was close behind with 1,104 points. Carlson set a career-best mark in smallbore, recording a mark of 555.

Rounding out the scoring for Rose-Hulman was sophomore Seth Clark (Farmersburg, Ind./North Central) with 1,044 points and sophomore David Geresy (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota East) with 1,015 points.

Sophomore Josey Lambert (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) and freshman John Overton (Orland, Calif./Orland) competed in the air rifle portion only, recording scores of 506 and 522 points, respectively.

Rose-Hulman will return to action Oct. 18 when the Engineers travel to Boston, Mass., for a matchup at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
