Women's Golf Finishes Third at Hanover

225-kingMADISON, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology recorded a third-place finish in the nine-team Hanover College Women's Golf Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.

Freshman Peem Chanrotchananphan (Chiang Mai, Thailand/Grace International School) led the Fightin' Engineer effort with rounds of 78 on Saturday and 85 on Sunday to place fourth overall.

Sophomore Deanne De Keizer (Mishawaka/Penn) and freshman Erin Scully (Arcadia/Hamilton Heights) finished just one shot behind and tied for sixth place.  De Keizer had rounds of 80 and 84, with Scully firing scores of 84 and 80.

Freshman Taylor King (Scottsdale, Ky./Allen County Scottsville) contributed scores of 80 and 92, and sophomore Hayley Vonder Haar (Highland, Ill.) rounded out the team score with rounds of 86 and 89. 

The second and final round took place at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour, where the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships occur later this fall.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at Illinois Wesleyan University next weekend.
