MADISON, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology sophomore Deanne De Keizer (Mishawaka/Penn) netted the first hole-in-one in women's golf program history to highlight the Hanover Invitational on Saturday.
De Keizer aced the 141-yard, par-three 17th hole at Sunrise Golf Course in Madison, Indiana. Her iron short made one bounce on the green before rolling into the hole.
De Keizer placed 12th overall in the tournament with rounds of 85 and 86. Freshman Hayley Vonder Haar (Highland, Ill.) added rounds of 87 and 91 to place 25th overall.
Freshmen Jaclyn Smith (Thorntown/Western Boone) pitched in with scores of 93 and 89, and sophomore Emily Barker (Fort Wayne/Leo) also contributed to the team score with rounds of 99 and 91.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at Illinois Wesleyan next weekend.
