vonder-haarBLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished in the top 20 at one of the nation's most competitive women's golf tournaments, the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational, on Saturday and Sunday.

Freshman Hayley Vonder Haar (Highland, Ill.) led the Rose-Hulman effort with rounds of 86 and 92 to place 84th overall.

Freshman Jaclyn Smith (Thorntown/Western Boone) came hpme second among Engineers within two rounds of 91. 

Sophomore Deanne De Keizer (Mishawaka/Penn) fired a Sunday round of 81 for her career-best score to contribute to the team score.  Sophomore Emily Barker (Fort Wayne/Leo) matched De Keizer's two-day score to tie for 94th of over 130 players. 

Sophomore Miriam Remmers (Hudson, Ohio) rounded out the team effort with a 97 on Saturday.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the DePauw Invitational next weekend.
