SEYMOUR, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology relied on eight rounds in the 70s to finish third at the Hanover College Invitaitonal on Saturday and Sunday.
Four Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's golfers fired rounds in the 70s on each day.
Sophomore Sanders Park (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) led the balanced scoring performance with rounds of 76 and 73 to finish seventh overall. Freshman Tapat Wittayakom (Chiang Mai, Thailand/Prem Tinsulandona International) finished just behind with rounds of 76 and 74 for ninth place.
Senior Travis Whithaus (Robinson, Ill./Vicennes) added a 17th place finish with scores of 77 and 76, while freshman Luke Peoples (Terre Haute, Ind./South Vigo) rounded out the team score with tallies of 79 and 77. The Engineers fired an impressive team score of 300 on the second day of the event.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Defiance Invitational next weekend.
