TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology senior Shane Boschert (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) was named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, in results released today by the NFF and the College Hall of Fame.
Boschert earned four varsity letters for the football team and also received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
Boschert finished 22-36 for 192 yards passing in two years at quarterback, and hauled in one reception and one two-point conversion catch at wide receiver. He served as a three-year holder for the field goal and extra point team, rushed for 13 yards, and recorded three tackles in various roles.
The qualifications for the squad that included being a varsity letter winner with a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and being on track to graduate. The Hampshire Honor Society consisted of 703 players from 259 institutions.
Rose-Hulman finished with a 5-5 record last fall for its school record eighth consecutive season at .500 or above. The Fightin' Engineers open the 2013 campaign at Kalamazoo College on Sept. 7.
