ANTHONY ADAMO INTERCEPTION FOR A TOUCHDOWN VIDEO
TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Anthony Adamo's 60-yard interception return for a pivotal touchdown in the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology football team's victory over Hanover garnered 62 percent of the votes to capture the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Play of the Week honor for Week 5.
Adamo (Chino, Calif.), a sophomore safety,snagged an interception during the third quarter of Saturday's win over Hanover, sprinting 60 yards for a touchdown that gave Rose-Hulman a 31-0 lead as part of an eventual 38-14 victory.
The final voting tally, which took place on the HCAC's Facebook and Twitter pages, saw Adamo garnering 62 percent of the vote, beating out Manchester's Zach Dashner who had 26 percent of the vote.
The honor marked the second straight week that Rose-Hulman captured HCAC Play of the Week honors, after Craig Voges won the award last week.
