TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology spring sports teams will celebrate NCAA Division III Week with 12 home events between Tuesday and Sunday.
The baseball team hosts five games, including four HCAC contests. Rose-Hulman stands 5-4 in league play entering Tuesday’s game against Anderson at 6 p.m. Rose-Hulman also plays Washington University on Wednesday and hosts a three-game series with Transylvania on Saturday and Sunday.
The softball team has two home doubleheaders this week. Rose-Hulman hosts Franklin on Tuesday and Spalding on Friday in a pair of 5 p.m. doubleheaders. The Fightin’ Engineers also travel to Hanover on Sunday.
Rose-Hulman’s track and field teams return to action with an open meet at home on Friday, along with a trip to the Indiana Division III Championships at Franklin on Saturday.
The men’s tennis team returns to the court on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. matchup against Oakland City. Rose-Hulman also hosts Greenville on Friday and travels to Defiance on Sunday.
The men’s golf squad hits the links at Rea Park three times this week. Rose-Hulman hosts Wabash on Wednesday and its Invitational this weekend.
NCAA Division III Week is a celebration by member institutions of the division's unique philosophy that equally values academics, athletics and student-athletes' involvement in a full and rich campus life.
The Engineers are participating with activities that focus on community and campus outreach. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will work with teams to recognize faculty members making a difference to members of the softball team on Tuesday, the men's tennis team on Wednesday and the baseball team on Saturday.
