HCAClogoTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup standings this season, in results released by the league office.

The Fightin' Engineers were also second in the men's all-sports trophy standings, with the women placing third.  The effort marks the fifth consecutive year that Rose-Hulman has finished in the top two in the HCAC in the men's all-sports trophy standings.

Rose-Hulman relied on league championships for the tennis and track and field teams to lead the overall men's performance.  The baseball squad added a third-place overall finish, and the men's swimming team scored maximum points.

On the women's side, the conference won the regular season title in tennis and added fourth-place points in golf and track in the third-place performance.

Transylvania won the Commissioner's Cup for the first time and added a title in the women's all-sports trophy standings.  Franklin captured the men's all-sports trophy.
