coleman-sprintTERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Two Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology student-athletes each earned their third Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards this season, in results released by the league office.

Senior Sutton Coleman (Lebanon, Va.) was named HCAC Track Athlete of the Week, and senior Alisa Dickerson (Elizabethtown, Ky.) captured the Women's Basketball Player of the Week award.  Both athletes received the honor on two prior occasions this season.

Coleman led the Fightin' Engineers with a pair of first-place efforts and one school record at the Monmouth Invitational.  The meet featured NCAA Division I, II and III programs from across the Midwest.

Coleman set the 200-meter school record with a time of 22.21 seconds to break a 12-year record held by All-American Phil Reksel.

Coleman's second victory came in the 60-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.13 seconds, the second-best mark of his career that features four All-American awards.

On the season, Coleman ranks No. 2 nationally in the 60-meter hurdles with a school record mark of 8.12 seconds set at Rose-Hulman last weekend.

dickerson-mcDickerson  averaged 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game and became Rose-Hulman's career leader for assists with 322 last week.  Her efforts helped the Engineers upset No. 12 ranked Franklin on Wednesday and top Defiance 60-33 on Saturday.

Dickerson had 20 points in the Defiance game, after recording 17 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists against Franklin.  For the week, Dickerson shot 47% from the field and 80% from the free throw line with averages of 6.5 assists, 4.0 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.

Dickerson has become the basketball player on the men's or women's side in school history with 1,200 points, 700 rebounds and 300 assists.  She was named to the Capital One first-team academic all-district squad earlier this month.

The track and field team hosts the HCAC Indoor Championships on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Sports and Recreation Center.  The women's basketball team heads to Earlham on Wednesday, then hosts Hanover in the regular season finale on Saturday at Hulbert Arena.
