Women's Cross Country Places 3rd at Earlham


RICHMOND, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team placed third at the Earlham College Invitational on Saturday morning in Richmond.

Freshman Nicole Gonzalez (Camarillo, Calif.) came home second overall with a time of 21:15 to lead the Engineers. 

Sophomore Katherine Moravec (Seymour) came in just behind in third place overall in a time of 21:16.

Freshman Ashley Schumacher (St. Louis, Mo./Lutheran South) finished 11th overall in a time of 22:12.  Sophomore Claire Stark (Geneva, Ill./St. Francis) added a 17th place in 22:40, and senior Shannon Butler (Huntley, Ill.) rounded out the team score with a time of 22:49.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Gibson Family Invitational on Saturday in Terre Haute.
