Women's Cross Country Places 18th at Wilmington


WILMINGTON, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross country team placed 18th at the Wilmington College Invitational on Friday.

Freshman Nicole Gonzalez (Camarillo, Calif.) came home 50th overall of nearly 300 runners with a five-kilometer time of 20:17 to lead the Engineers. 

Junior Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) added an 84th place in a time of 21:14 to rank second on the squad.

Freshman Ashley Schumacher (St. Louis, Mo./Lutheran South) finished 86th overall in a time of 21:16.  Senior Shannon Butler (Huntley, Ill.) added a time of 22:03, and sophomore Claire Stark (Geneva, Ill./St. Francis) rounded out the team score in 22:40.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Anderson University on Oct. 29.
