Women's Cross Country Competes in HCAC Championships

ANDERSON, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology women's cross counry team ran at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday.

Freshman Nicole Gonzalez (Camarillo, Calif.) led the Engineers with a 19th overall finish with a six-kilometer time of 25:03.93.  Gonzalez was named to the honorable mention all-conference team for her efforts.

Freshman Ashley Schumacher (St. Louis, Mo./Lutheran South) finished 34th overall in a time of 26:27.85.

Junior Creasy Clauser (Crawfordsville/Southmont) added a 55th place in a time of 27:29.53 while sophomore Claire Stark (Geneva, Ill./St. Francis), 27:36.74, and senior Shannon Butler (Huntley, Ill.), 27:8.28, rounded out the team's ninth place finish.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the NCAA Regionals at Oberlin College on Nov. 12.
