Men's Cross Country Places 3rd at Hanover

HANOVER, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team relied on three top-12 finishes to place third at the Hanover College Invitational on Saturday morning.

Freshman Stuart West (LaPorte) led the Fightin' Engineers with a seventh-place finish in the five-kilometer race.  West recorded a time of 16:38.

Freshmen Josh Hojnacki (LaPorte) and Matthew Billingsley (Moline, Ill./Alleman) came home 11th and 12th, respectively.  Hojnacki completed the run in 16:58, with Billingsley just behind at 17:02.

Sophomore Andrew Thompson (Mundelein, Ill./Vernon Hills) finished 14th in 17:15, and freshman Matthew Lash (Batavia, Ill.) rounded out the team score with a 15th place in 17:16.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet in Bloomington on Friday.
