VOLUNTEER COACH
Leonard Erickson begins his first season as a volunteer coach for the Rose-Hulman women's basketball team this season.
Erickson comes to Rose-Hulman after serving for one season as a women's assistant coach at Dakota State University. He also recently served for one year on the coaching staff at Eastlake High School in Texas, where the team finished 20-5 and earned a district championship.
The El Paso native played three seasons of varsity basketball and served as a five-year assistant coach at Father Yermo High School. He served on a coaching staff with teams that compiled a 57-54 record and earned two state championships. The teams also qualified for two more state final round appearances.
Erickson completed a bachelor's degree in history at the University of Texas-El Paso in May. His experiences also include coaching at the middle school level and the El Paso city league.
