200cindricTERRE HAUTE, IND. - Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Tim Cindric was named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's 2011 Silver Anniversary Team, based on accomplishments as a senior prep player 25 years ago.

Cindric received the honor at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's Annual Men's Banquet on Wednesday March 23.

Cindric was a two-year starter at Indianapolis Pike High School prior to his Rose-Hulman era, where he earned all-conference, all-sectional tournament and honorable mention all-state honors.

At Rose-Hulman, Cindric scored 1,081 points with 609 rebounds and 123 assists in his Fightin' Engineer career.  The 1990 mechanical engineering graduate also earned all-conference honors for a team that qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament in 1989.

Today, Cindric serves as the President of Penske Racing.  Since Cindric joined Penske Racing in 2000, the team has compiled five Indianapolis 500 wins, one Daytona 500 win, three IndyCar championships and one NASCAR Nationwide Series title.
