EITEL'S MINOR LEAGUE BIO
VISALIA, CALIF. --
Derek Eitel, the first Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
student-athlete selected in a professional sports draft, tossed a
perfect first six innings to highlight a 14-2 Visalia win over High
Point on May 23.
Eitel allowed just one single and one walk with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work to improve to 2-3 on the season with his best performance as a professional. He carried a perfect game for six innings and had a no-hitter into the seventh.
