NewmanWartAUBURNDALE, FLA. -- Milwaukee School of Engineering snapped a 1-1 tie with an 11th inning run to top the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology baseball team 2-1 on Friday in Florida.

Senior Bobby Newman (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) led Rose-Hulman's 11-hit attack with three singles and the lone RBI.  Sophomore Josh Hoeing (Rushville) and freshman Caleb Kissel (Plainfield, Ill./North) each added a single and a double to the effort.

Junior Kevin Farley (Centennial, Colo./Littleton) and freshman Karson Nixon (Jasper) each allowed just one run in five innings of work for Rose-Hulman.  Nixon struck out six, while Farley scattered five hits with one strikeout.

Lucas Yogerst tossed nine innings and allowed one run for Milwaukee Engineering, and Tyler Magyar provided the game winning single with two outs in the 11th inning.

Rose-Hulman stands 1-4 overall and returns to action on Saturday against Capital University.
