Dan Gallagher |
Gallagher (Mech. Eng., '03) is systems engineer with
Beckman Coulter's Integrated Solutions group in Indianapolis, an ASME
Central Indiana Section member and a Central Indiana Section
representative to the Indiana Council of Engineering Societies (ICES).
He is currently serving as the 2008 networking event
chair for ICES.
Gallagher coordinated a resume workshop with the student
sections at Rose-Hulman, IUPUI and Purdue University during this fall
and winter. More than 50 students and 10 professional members took
advantage of the program.
The student liaison program kicks off on Friday, Feb.
22, with training at the University of Nevada-Reno.
The purpose of this program is to identify and develop a
group of enthusiastic ASME members who are in the early stages of their
careers and are willing to work with ASME student sections in the local
area. Program participants will assist student sections members in their
transition to the workplace and provide mentoring and professional
guidance.
Liaisons will serve as a connection to ASME and provide the
student sections members with updates on current programs and activities
offered by the local professional section.
