by Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh (left) and Rose-Hulman President
Gerald Jakubowski during this year's Small Business Summit. |
Senator Bayh cited Mahurin, a 1989 mechanical engineering graduate, for his success in creating his third company, InfraWare, which serves the medical transcription service industry by hosting a robust transcription service platform.
During his presentation, Mahurin also recognized the assistance he has received in the development of his new company from project managers and students at Rose-Hulman Ventures.
“In Indiana, 1.3 million Hoosiers—roughly half of our state’s workforce are employed by small businesses," stated Bayh about the economic impact of small businesses. "Small business growth and development is fueling our economy and creating innovative, good-paying 21st century jobs for middle class Hoosiers.”
Support from Bayh made it possible for the City of Terre Haute to receive a $500,000 federal grant to create the Innovation Alliance.
During the Small Business Summit Bayh also met with Rose-Hulman President Gerald Jakubowski. |
