Jessica Callahan has been named assistant director of
alumni affairs in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology. She assumed her new duties on Nov. 12.

Callahan will coordinate programs for the Rose-Hulman
Young Alumni Council, Graduates of the Last Decade, and serve as adviser
to the Student Alumni Association. She will also work to improve alumni
contributions to the Office of Development’s Annual Fund and assist with
the overall development of programs, services and special events for the
college's 12,000 alumni nationwide. Callahan is no
stranger to Rose-Hulman and the Office of Institutional Advancement,
having served as coordinator of development activities since March 2007.
Callahan specializes in planning, managing and evaluating events for
organizations. Before coming to Rose-Hulman, she was a
campaign director for the United Way of the Wabash Valley, helping
increase the annual Pilot campaign results by 14 percent; was brand
management project coordinator for the National Collegiate Athletic
Association; and worked in public relations and event management for
Purdue University’s John Purdue Club. She earned a bachelor’s degree in
communications from Purdue. A Terre Haute native,
Callahan is active in the local community. She is a board member of
TREES Inc. and serves as a member of Young Leaders of Terre Haute.
