Recipients of the Honor Alumni Award are selected based on their (a)
loyal, unselfish and meritorious service in furthering the interests of
Rose-Hulman, (b) contributing to the national interest of our country,
(c) professional achievement. Rose-Hulman honors four alumni with this
honor each year. Recipients are recognized during Homecoming.

A 1957 chemical engineering graduate, Bob Bright had a 37-year
career with the 3M Corp. During the first three decades of his
career, he held various positions in engineering, manufacturing and
business management. In 1987, he became a division vice president of
document systems, retiring in 1994 as a division vice president of
electrical specialties. Currently he is involved in several
volunteer efforts, and he serves as chairman of the Rose-Hulman
Board of Trustees.

Jeff Burgan graduated in 1977 with a
chemical engineering degree. He also earned a Juris Doctorate from
Loyola University of New Orleans. Previously he has served as a
member of the Firms’ Board of Directors. Prior to law school, Jeff
spent several years in engineering and management assignments with
Texaco, Inc. Jeff just completed a two-year term as treasurer of the
Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago. He has served as a
Rose-Hulman Class Agent and coordinated Alumni Club activities in
Chicago. He served as Alumni Association president for the 2004-2005
year.

Jeffrey Keeler graduated in 1966 with a bachelor of science in
electrical engineering. He also earned a master of science in
electrical engineering at Stanford and a Ph.D. in electrical
engineering at University of Colorado. He was Chief Engineer and
Manager at National Center for Atmospheric Research from 1981-2004.
He served as 1st Lt. Signal Corps at NASA Research Center in Moffett
Field, CA from 1967-1969. He is a member of the RHIT Denver/Boulder
RoseTech Alumni Club. Jeff has been married for 38 years and has two
children. His hobbies include outdoor activities, and he is an
American Meteorologist Society Fellow. |

Vice President/High Horsepower Engineering,
Cummins. Jim Trueblood serves as vice president, high horsepower
engineering, for Cummins, a company he joined in 1978. During
his tenure with the company, the 1977 mechanical engineering
graduate has served as senior engineer, fuel systems;
manager/group leader; chief engineer; technical project leader;
executive engineer; and chief technical executive for the
company’s business filtration business unit. He moved into his
current position in 2004. Prior to joining Cummins, he was with
GE Aircraft Engines.
