What it takes to Apply

You know that the only students we admit are the cream of the crop. Think you've got what it takes? Apply.

Prospective Freshmen can choose to apply either Early Action (EA) or Regular Decision (RD). The EA deadline to complete the application is November 1 with notification on or before December 15. All application materials must be postmarked by November 1 to be considered for EA. Early Action is non-binding. Although you receive earlier response to your application, you do not have to make your enrollment deposit until May 1. If you apply Early Action and you do not have all application materials in by the deadline, we will automatically roll you to Regular Decision.

Students applying RD have a deadline of February 1 to complete the application and submit all application materials with notification on or before March 15. You have until May 1 to make your enrollment deposit and reserve your place in the class.

  1. Complete the online application. There's no application fee and no essay to write! (That's right, it's free to apply - and we really did say you don't have to write the essay.)
  2. Take the SAT or ACT and have the scores sent to us or have them included on your transcript.
  3. Complete other Requirements for Freshman Applicants.
  4. Wait to hear from us. Good luck!

Rose-Hulman does NOT accept the Common Application. Please apply here.
