Opportunities for
Minorities
Diversity is about accepting each other
as we are and recognizing we each bring our own unique strengths
and experiences to all that we do. Engineering is a profession
dedicated to teamwork and values the contributions all people can
make. Whether one is a member of the majority or minority
population, whether one is an American citizen or from another
country, we all have something to contribute and to
celebrate.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is tremendously proud of its
students and alumni of color. Their contributions to the campus
culture and to society in general are impressive. Rose-Hulman's
minority students buck national trends - nearly 70% of our students
of color have graduated since 1990.
Spotlight on minorities: Campus Support
Campus support organizations include chapters of the National Society of
Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of
Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), the International
Student Association, the Diversity Council and the general family
atmosphere that is unique to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
