Graduate Student Forms

Graduate Application

Please complete an online application. (No application fee.) Once submitted, your application is not complete until we have received all of the following documents.

Undergraduate Transcripts From each of your undergraduate institutions, ask Registrar to send Rose-Hulman Office of Graduate Studies a transcript of college record to date.

Statement of Rank in Class and Grade Point Average Form Ask Registrar of undergraduate institution to complete and return this form to Rose-Hulman Office of graduate studies. Print Form

Recommendation for Graduate Studies Form Give recommendation form to three (3) professional references who know you well, asking that they return them directly to the Office of Graduate Studies at Rose-Hulman. Print Form

GRE Scores (US college or university undergraduates) The GRE is not required for applicants from accredited Bachelor of Science degree programs in engineering, mathematics, or natural science disciplines offered by a U.S. college or university, however the results of the examination may serve to strengthen the applciation. Test scores must be sent directly to Rose-Hulman from the Education Testing Service.

GRE Scores (International college or university undergraduates) An international applicant who is not a graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science program in engineering, mathematics, or natural science disciplines offered by a U.S. college or university must take the General Test portion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Test scores must be sent directly to Rose-Hulman from the Education Testing Service.

TOEFL Scores An international applicant who is not a graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science program in engineering, mathematics, or natural science disciplines offered by a U.S. college or university must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Test scores must be sent directly to Rose-Hulman from the Education Testing Service.

BE Statement of Purpose Please submit, in two pages or less, a brief description of why you want to attend Rose-Hulman. Include any specific areas in Biomedical Engineering that you are interested in pursuing for your these, as well as how obtaining an M.S. degree in BE will advance your career objectives. EE or ECE Applicants Supplemental Information Your Summary of Career Goals and proposed thesis topics can be mailed to the Office of Graduate Studies or uploaded using our Applicant Document System, accesible through the online application. Click here to download the form to your computer.

Graduate Advisory Chair & Committee Forms

The student should formally select an advisory committee chairperson (normally, the thesis advisor for the Thesis based programs) as early as possible but at least before the end of the ninth week of the first quarter of graduate study. The Advisory Chair and the student will then select an Advisory Committee and prepare a plan of study before the end of the ninth week of the second quarter of graduate study. Thesis Support Materials

Graduation Requirements

This request is only required in the quarter in which you plan to graduate. The graduate office will review your Plan of Study and notify you of any additional courses and/or requirements needed before graduation. You may request a review at any time but one must be requested the term in which you actually graduate. Additional requests should be submitted if your graduation is delayed beyond the term for which you submitted the request.
