Accreditation
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology offers Graduate Degree
programs in biomedical, chemical, civil, environmental, electrical
and computer, mechanical, and optical engineering as well as
engineering management. The related undergraduate degree programs
are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the
Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The
various departments offering the listed degrees are investigating
graduate degree accreditation requirements as a result of a recent
change in engineering accreditation which will allow programs to be
accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Rose-Hulman is accredited by the North Central Association of
Colleges and Schools and by the Department of Public Instruction of
the State of Indiana. The chemistry curriculum has been approved by
the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical
Society.
In addition to institutional membership in the American Society
for Engineering Education, the Institute is also a member of the
Association of Independent Technological Universities, a group
formed to further the interests of private engineering schools.
