Dr. Sergio Granieri’s areas of expertise include Fourier optics, microwave photonics, and fiber lasers. His research interests cover optical signal processing, optical communications, and fiber optic components and lasers—all projects assisted by undergraduate- and graduate-level students. Dr. Granieri helps with the coordination of the optical engineering program, the dual-degree program with Seoul Tech and the SPIE student chapter. Dr. Granieri has showcased optics technology in the Indiana State Museum’s Science Nights summer education series, and has helped educators bring change to campuses through America through Rose-Hulman’s Making Academic Change Happen workshops, a National Science Foundation-sponsored program.
