Sergio Granieri

Associate Professor of Physics and Optical Engineering

Dr. Sergio Granieri’s areas of expertise include fourier optics, optical signal processing, and fiber optics. His research interests cover optical signal processing, optical communications, and fiber optic components and applications—all projects assisted by undergraduate- and graduate-level students. Dr. Granieri has showcased how optics technology are part of Star Wars’ light sabers in the Indiana State Museum’s Science Nights summer education series, and has helped educators bring change to campuses through America through Rose-Hulman’s Making Academic Change Happen workshops, a National Science Foundation-sponsored program.
