Is Consulting Engineering Right for You?
Join us for this Rose-Hulman Continuing and Professional Studies day-long workshop to explore the consulting engineering industry with technical and business leaders in the field. Attendance is limited. Register today.
Consulting engineering firms play a key role in the global economy providing critical technical and management services in a broad range of fields as one of the largest professional service industries, generating revenue of about $543 billion in 2013 with 2.9 million employees. This knowledge-based industry sector’s principal end product is the delivery of technical and management services. Consulting engineering firms range from large firms with hundreds of employees to very small offices with just one person or a few staff.
If you intrigued by the consulting engineering industry, would like to work in the field, or even start your own consulting engineering firm, join us for this day-long seminar exploring the consulting engineering industry. You will hear from technical and business experts across engineering sub-disciplines about how they have become successful in their fields and how they have overcome adversity. Panel discussions will focus on legal, financial, and marketing challenges of consulting engineering. There will be time for questions and discussion in each segment of the day.
At the conclusion of the day, you will understand the challenges and opportunities of pursuing a career or business in the consulting engineering industry.
This unique event will host both Rose-Hulman engineering management graduate students attending for seminar credit, and working professionals attending for professional enrichment. Working professional participants who attend will receive 6 PDH (professional development hours toward Indiana’s continuing education requirements for Professional Engineers).
Time for networking will be provided.
