Robert A. Coons
Robert A. Coons has held various finance- and management-level positions since joining Rose-Hulman in 1989. Prior to being named Interim President in April 2012, he served as Chief Administrative Officer, a position to which he was promoted in 2005.
Coons was a recipient of the Rose-Hulman President's Outstanding Service Award in 2010. He is currently serving as Vice President of the Indiana Risk Management Association Board of Trustees, a member of the UAP Clinic, LLC Board of Managers and a member of the Indiana TechPoint Board of Directors. He is a past President of the Indiana Association of College and University Business Officers and has held various committee appointments on the Central Association of College and University Business Officers during his tenure. He is a past Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair of the United Way of the Wabash Valley; a past President of Vigo County Lifeline; and is a graduate of Leadership Terre Haute.
He holds a MBA from Indiana State University, a CPA from North Carolina, a bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University; and is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education Institute for Education Management.
Coons was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University East in 2013.
