FIRST JOB AFTER ROSE-HULMAN?

Certification Engineer on the 737 Airplane Program, Boeing.

MOST VALUABLE LESSON YOU LEARNED ON THAT JOB?

I learned how important it is to be able to get your ideas across effectively to a variety of people, especially when you are working on such a complex product.

MOST MEMORABLE ROSE-HULMAN PROFESSOR?

Dr. Mayhew [Mechanical Engineering]. I absolutely loved his aerospace courses even though they were some of the most challenging classes I took. He was very good at conveying the material and keeping you engaged throughout the class. I also enjoyed his occasional Latin-word tangents during lecture.

IDEAL WEEKEND?

Friday after work, go to the rock climbing gym and then go out with some friends. Saturday go on hike or snowboarding depending on the season. Sunday watch soccer early in the AM, then go play soccer later in the day.

STAR TREK OR STAR WARS?

Star Wars. Do or do not. There is no try.

WHAT IS THE NERDIEST THING YOU DO?

I play Pokemon on my 3DS and on my computer. I was super excited about Nintendo making the original Red and Blue versions available for my 3DS system!

ADVICE TO INCOMING ROSE-HULMAN STUDENTS?

Try new things and step out of your comfort zone. This will help you meet new people, learn new skills, and discover things about yourself you didn't even know.
