  • Six Purposes

Throughout Chi Omega’s long and proud history, six purposes have guided the direction of every chapter and brought its members opportunities for personal growth and development. These purposes which we follow are Friendship, High Standards of Personnel, Sincere Learning and Creditable Scholarship, Participation in Campus Activities, Career Development, and Community Service. Each purpose has a Cardinal Cabinet assigned to it so during our time in Chi Omega, we may grow in these areas.
    Sisterhood

Sisterhood is a very important part of Chi Omega; it strengthens friendships and unifies our chapter. It is a time where we spend time with our sisters, making memories for a lifetime.

Pledge retreats bring the different classes together for bonding time.

    Scholarship

Scholarship in Chi Omega is one of our number one priorities. We encourage all of our members to strive to achieve the best grades possible.

We offer incentives to get good grades like pizza parties. We also have study tables 1 to 2 times a week, files at the Chi Omega house, and tutors available for those who need them.
    Friendship and Social

After a long day of studying, it’s great to hang out and have fun with your sisters. We have numerous social events during the year that remind us to have some fun.

The annual hayride at Pumpkin Works is one of the first events of the year that includes spending time with the new pledges.

Socials with the fraternities on campus provide fun times with other Greeks and getting to know more people.

Our spring formal is always a great time to get dress-up with the theme of the year and to dance the night away with our sisters and dates.

    Campus Activities

The women of Chi Omega are highly involved in campus activities throughout the Rose-Hulman campus. Besides being involved in various clubs, professional societies, and varsity sports as individuals, we participate as a chapter in intramural sports, Greek Games, Homecoming, and Campus Beautification. It is always fun to come together as a chapter to help and be involved on campus.

    Career Development

Chi Omega prepares you for the life after college through career development. With contacts of alumnae at major companies to tips for interviews, they made sure we’re ready to be in the “real world.”
    Community Service

Community service is important to us. Each quarter we are required to do at least 2 hours of service.

Our philanthropy is American Cancer Society and Make-A-Wish foundation. Last year, we sponsored Make-A-Dish in which we had dishes donated from local restaurants.

All proceeds benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
