Package Services
  

  • OUTBOUND PACKAGES

The Institute has selected DHL as its primary package service provider under terms of the E&I Cooperative Group Purchasing Consortium Agreement.  All campus departments and organizations should use DHL for outbound package services.

As a convenience to students, faculty and staff, there are two (2) Self Service Package counters available for processing packages.  They are located in:

  • Moench Hall (across from the Mail Distribution Center)
  • Bookstore (lower lever near the ATM machine)

You can access the DHL website from computers located at each counter and take advantage of the Institute's discounted rates for both business and personal packages.  However, payment must be made by a personal credit/debit card or Institute purchasing card.  Drop-off dead line is 3:00 p.m., daily.

Please bring completed waybill and package to one of three (3) locations:

  • MDC Annex - DL130
  • Bookstore - HMU
  • MCC - Facilities building

All other outgoing packages should be processed at the Mail & Copy Center during their regular business hours of operation. The deadline for drop-off is 3:00 p.m. Packages are picked up Monday - Friday (with the exception of Institute and carrier holidays). After-hours

Should you require after-hours shipping services (after 3:00 p.m. or weekends), please prepare a FedEx form and package.  Copies of all after-hours Fed-Ex shipping documents for Institute business packages must be sent to the MCC for tracking purposes.

Personal packages shipped via UPS must be taken to the local UPS operation located at US Hwy 46.  UPS does not have a daily stop at RHIT.

  • INBOUND PACKAGES

The Institute's electronic package tracking system uses scanning technology that allows the Mail Distribution Center (MDC) to track your package upon delivery by the carrier (FedEX, UPS, DHL, USPS) to campus, through delivery to you.

All notices regarding incoming packages will be made by email.  The message you will receive appears as follows:

A package was received today addressed to your attention and may be picked up during normal business hours 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday at the

Students are required to present their RHIT ID card to receive their package.  To expedite processing, please have your ID card available when picking up your package.  Faculty and staff will be required to sign an electronic signature pad to receive their package. 

HELPFUL HINT -In order to avoid any delays; if you regularly receive packages for a club or organization, please ask the sender to include your name and campus mailbox number on the package.  Please contact Rick Alumbaugh, x8490, email Richard.Alumbaugh@rose-hulman.edu, immediately and notify him that you are the authorized individual to pick up packages for your club or organization.
