Installation Instructions
It is recommended that you uninstall previous versions of Ansys prior to installing version 12.1
- Login as Localmgr. (Instructions Here)
- [Note] Any previous versions of Ansys should be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs before continuing.
- Click Start->Run and type \\rose-hulman.edu\dfs\software
- Enter your username and password if prompted
- Double click Course Software->Ansys->Setup Ansys 12.1
- Click Install ANSYS, Inc. Products
- Review the license, select I AGREE and click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Select the products to install or use the default settings and click Next
- If applicable, enter the configuration information for Pro/Engineer. Otherwise, select both Skip this step checkboxes.
- Click Next
- If applicable, enter the configuration information for Unigraphics NX. Otherwise, select both Skip this step checkboxes.
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Click Next to begin installation
- When prompted to configure the license server, enter ansys-lm.rose-hulman.edu for Hostname 1. Leave all other fields set to their default value.
- Click Exit to finish licensing configuration.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish to finish the installation without taking the survey.
- Click Exit to close the Ansys Installation Manager.
- Start Ansys Workbench.
- From the Tools menu, select License Preferences.
- In the Global Settings section, choose Use Academic Licenses.
- Click OK and restart Ansys to complete licensing configuration.
