Installation Instructions
It is recommended that you uninstall previous versions of Ansys prior to installing version 11.0 SP1.
- Login as Localmgr. (Instructions Here)
- [Note] Any previous versions of Ansys should be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs before continuing.
- Click Start->Run and type \\rose-hulman.edu\dfs\software
- Enter your username and password if prompted
- Double click Course Software->Ansys->Setup 11.0 SP1.exe
- [Choose Setup Language] Click Ok to use English during setup.
- Click Next to continue.
- [ANSYS 11.0 License Agreement] Select I AGREE to accept the terms of the license agreement and click Next to continue.
- [Choose Destination Location] Click Next to install ANSYS in the default folder C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc.
- [Select Features] Click Next to accept the default features.
- [Start Copying Files] A dialog box appears listing the current installation settings. Click Next to continue.
- The program will begin installing
- [Run Licensing Setup] Leave the checkbox checked and click Next.
- [Question] Is this a license server machine? Click No.
- [Question] Do you want to continue with setup to configure this system to be a client system? Click Yes.
- [Port Number] Leave the Port set to 1055 and click Next
- [ANSYS FLEXlm License Manager] Leave the option set to 1 license server and click Next.
- [Hostname] Enter the hostname ansys-lm.rose-hulman.edu and click Next.
- [ANSYS Survey] Uncheck the box if you would like to skip the survey and click Finish.
- [Setup is complete] Click Finish
- Logout and login as yourself
- Execute the application by clicking on Start->Programs->ANSYS 11.0->ANSYS
