OS X: Printing to \\print

  • Open a web browser
  • Navigate to the URL http://localhost:631
  • Click Administration
  • Select Add Printer
  • Fill in the Name, Location, and Description fields (may be any values), then press Continue
  • In Device, select AppSocket/HP JetDirect, then press Continue
  • In Device URI, fill in socket://.printer.rose-hulman.edu, where comes from the Host Name listed at http://www.rose-hulman.edu/TSC/services/printers/, then press Continue
  • In Make, select Generic, then press Continue
  • In Model, select Generic PostScript Printer, 1.3, then press Add Printer
  • If prompted, provide your username and password
