Logging in/Checking messages

For your initial login, your password is 33 plus your extension number. You will then be prompted to enter a unique password.

  1. Dial Meridian Mail extension 8111, or 877-8111 from off-campus.
  2. Dial # or, if you are not at your telephone, dial your extension number followed by the # key.
  3. Enter your password followed by the # key.

Transfering a Caller to Voicemail

  1. Do not place the caller on hold. Press the Tranfer key (Flash\Recall key if using an analog set).
  2. Dial 8100.
  3. You will hear "Express Messaging. Mailbox?".
  4. Dial the destination mailbox number followed by the # key.
  5. Hang up immediatley.

Changing Your Password

  1. Log into your mailbox.
  2. Dial 84.
  3. You will hear "Password changed".
  4. Enter new password followed by the # key.
  5. Enter new password followed by the # key again.
  6. Enter old password followed by the # key to confirm password change.

Recording Your Name

  1. Log into your mailbox
  2. Dial 829
  3. Dial 5
  4. Record name.
  5. Dial #. Hang up

Setting Your External Greeting

  1. Log into your mailbox.
  2. Dial 82.
  3. Dial 1.
  4. Dial 5.
  5. Record Greeting.
  6. Dial #. Hang up.

Setting Your Internal Greeting

  1. Log into your mailbox.
  2. Dial 82.
  3. Dial 2.
  4. Dial 5.
  5. Record greeting.
  6. Dial #. Hang up.

Temporary Greeting

  1. Log into your mailbox.
  2. Dial 82.
  3. Dial 3.
  4. Dial 5.
  5. Record greeting.
  6. Dial #. Hang up.
