Display Settings for Presentations with the Tablet PC

When using the Tablet PC you will likely either want to clone whatever is displayed on the Tablet display or extend your Tablet display to a projector.  When cloning your display, everything that appears on the Tablet display will appear on the projector exactly as it appears on the Tablet display.  With extended desktop, you can move a single application window to the extended part of your desktop for presentation on a projector.  You can also setup PowerPoint so that it will display a presentation on the extended part of your desktop on the projector and have your normal desktop displayed on the Tablet.  The following procedures will show you how to setup these different modes of operation for presentation with a projector.

Cloned Display Mode

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Properties
  • Click on the Settings tab
  • Click the Advanced button on the Display Properties window
  • Click on the  nView Display Mode Tab
  • Select the Clone option
  • Click OKand you will be notified that your settings will be changed, click OK again
  • Click Yes to keep the configured Cloned Display Mode settings

When you are finished with your presentation in Cloned Display Mode, you can simply perform the above procedure again but select the Standard (DualView) option instead of the Clone option to return to your previous settings.

Extended Desktop Mode

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Properties
  • Click on the Settings tab
  • Right-click on the dithered second monitor picture with the number "2" in it and select Attached
