Rose-Hulman utilizes a network file system called AFS to manage personal, departmental, and corporate file space. User's home directories, web pages, class, and department information are stored in AFS volumes. AFS volumes are accessible on Windows, Linux and MacOSX though third party clients. The AFS file system is mounted on all of the public Linux workstations located around the campus.

The Rose-Hulman AFS cell is located at \\afs\rose-hulman.edu\. The Computer Science department also maintains a cell located at \\afs\cs.rose-hulman.edu\
