Auto-Generated Lists
These lists are created nightly directly from Banner data, meaning that little to no human interaction is needed to keep the lists up to date. Currently, the following types of lists are generated:
- all.campus
All RHIT students, staff, and faculty - all.employees
All people employed by Rose-Hulman (excluding student workers) - all.students
All undergraduate and graduate students - all.academic
All faculty and department administrative assistants - all.administrative
All non-academic employees - Departments
Math Department, Business Office, etc. - Students by year
Freshmen, Sophomores, etc. - Year-department
fr-cs, so-ce, etc. - Courses
These are generated three days before the term starts. They are only generated for courses that are going to be in session. Each course has a general mailing as well as lists for each section. For example, em104@rose-hulman.edu will e-mail all students in EM104 (regardless of section) while em104-01@rose-hulman.edu will only e-mail students in section 01. - Residence Halls
These are generated three days before each term starts. Like the course mailing lists, each residence hall has a list for the entire hall as well as floor specific lists. For example, deming@rose-hulman.edu will e-mail all students living in Deming Hall while deming1@rose-hulman.edu will only e-mail students living on Deming floor one.
