For the first time in known history, all of TRM’s cars run at the same time! or same day atleast. Don’t worry about it.

Porsche engine is running and has made somewhat successful pulls on the dyno!
See for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zBPnkjwrDs
Rest of the Porsche is almost ready for the engine. The brake pedal no longer bends the firewall when depressed and potentially only needs bled to be ready. Woot!
The Terre Haute Autocross is this Sunday!!!!!!!!!! There is no reason why you shouldn’t be there. Its like 5 minuets from Rose and its only $25 for preregistered SCCA Members or $40 for non SCCA. Its more if you don’t preregister so preregister if you are planing on going. Registration can be found here http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/event.advert/uidEvent/6F0F51F9-C0A1-9ECF-95F8C05830B95E7A If you have never Autocrossed before this is a great event to come out and try it and see what its like. Just bring whatever car you have and have fun. Here are the directions on how to get there from Rose http://mapq.st/ky1YSh
This weekend on Saturday is the first event of the season for the InterCollegiate Autox League. This means we need a team of 4 to 6 people to head up to Rantoul on Saturday to compete and earn points for Rose-Hulman so we can beat Purdue! So thats this Saturday May 21st! Check out http://www.icaxl.com/ for more info!
Currently the engine is on the dyno waiting to be tested and tuned. The previous lack of oil problem is being addressed with new plates to block off certain openings. The car itself now has working brakes and is pretty much ready to have the engine put into it. We may have it up and running in time for the Terre Haute Autocross but don’t count on it. This car has taken a long time to get to this point and we are going to do it right and end up with a functioning Autocross car for next year.
In conclusion to the last year of updates, here are the new officers for 2011/2012!
President - Rick Dempsey
Vice President - Josh Spangler
Secretary - Chris Good
Treasurer - Cody Plungis
Safety and Inventory - Robert Anderton
Here they are, TRM’s newest officers for the 2010-2011 year.
On behalf of the leaving officers, we wish you all a great year and that TRM continues to grow through your leadership!
Thanks to everyone to came out to the Panhel event we had last night! I think it was a great success.
We were able to teach over 100 Rose-Hulman girls how to:
The event was down at the ATS building. Each girl also received a handbook explaining everything discussed to keep in their glove box. Around 10 TRM guys were nice enough to come help out. Thanks Again!
Thanks to everyone who came to the work night yesterday, hopefully the snacks were proper encouragment.
The Porsche is now back on all four wheels, and the front brakes are all finished up accept for installing the pads. The rear calipers have once again encountered a clearance issue, but hopefully some thinner rotor spacers will do the trick. Still having issues sourcing the correct metric fittings for the brake lines though.
Dearest club,
Robb told Rick to update. But that little jerk wouldn’t listen. So here we go. Here’s an update. The RX-7 is still broken, the Mustang is a maybe, and DON’T TOUCH THE PORSCHE. Also, mandatory viewing of fantasia 2000 this work day. SO BE THERE OR BE DEAD.
Love,
Doug
