	A couple of years ago we instituted a general education mathematics course for liberal arts majors, in which we use The Heart of Mathematics by Starbird and Burger. In spite of the opinions of Erdos, Dudley, and Naiman, we specifically articulated the acquisition of the appreciation of the beauty of mathematics as a course objective.
