Rose-Hulman Women's Soccer Records Second Shutout, Defeats Manchester

Monica Guzik scored a goal to help the Engineers defeat Manchester Saturday.

TERRE HAUTE, IND - Rose Hulman women’s soccer team recorded its second shutout of the season as they defeated Manchester College Saturday afternoon 2-0.

The Engineers were lead by senior Monica Guzik (Avon, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) and junior Eli Baca (Santa Fe, N.M.) who both scored in the game. Junior Annmarie Stanley (Warrenville, Ill./Rosary) contributed an assist in the effort.

Guzik scored her second goal of the season of an assist from Stanley, on a cross passing through traffic for the goal.

Baca scored her second goal of the year after taking the ball around the left side of the defense for the unassisted goal.

Rose Hulman is now 3-8 on the year and 2-1 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Engineers return to conference action Sunday as they face Franklin College at home.
