BLOOMINGTON, ILL. -- Seventh ranked Illinois Wesleyan University improved to 7-0-2 on the year with a 3-0 win over Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night.

Junior Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./ St. John's Country Day) nearly knotted the score at 1-1 by hitting a blast off the crossbar in the first half and led the Engineers with two shots.

Sophomore Julie Brennan (Indianapolis/ Pike) kept the Engineers within striking distance with an impressive 13 saves in the match.

Illinois Wesleyan led 2-0 at the half courtesy of scores by Carlie Hoekstra and Elizabeth Sinclair.  Chelsea Kowatch added the final score of the match for the Titans.

Rose-Hulman returns to action with a home match against Webster University on Friday at 5 p.m.
